An amazing little gem of a hotel! It is a little dated and small, but the location is unbeatable. The front desk staff are very kind and the older gentlemen offered to carry our suitcase up the stairs which was the best after a long day of hauling them around the city. It's so close to the station and there are a ton of walk able eating options close by and Kensington/Hyde park are just a few minutes away. The room itself was a bit small and cramped but the balcony was great to help give the room a bit of space. Our bathtub didn't plug up properly so that sucked not being able to enjoy the bath and I do wish that the TV connected to the WIFI so that we could enjoy the options of Netflix or Amazon Prime. Besides that no complaints and I would definitely stay in this hotel again just for the location alone.
What a lovely little hotel. We stayed there on two separate occasions, and while the first room was adequate, the second room was stellar. Our only complaint was that the pillows are in dire need of replacement. Otherwise, a beautiful place to stay, and an excellent location. I highly recommend this hotel.
The best thing about Rhodes is the amazing staff (Thanks to Panos for carrying my heavy suitcase!). Nothing is too much trouble, and they treat you with so much warmth, like they GENUINELY want you to be happy and cared for. It feels like staying at a friends place! Yes the rooms are small, but that's London. The location is unbeatable and the price is excellent, they look after your bags for free - perfect for travelers visiting for a few days. The building, whilst old, is super clean and clearly maintained with love. A+ to the managers for delivering a top experience for an affordable price. I would happily stay again.

I was so happy to get a hotel that was close to Paddington, but on a quiet street. My room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.
Rhodes hotel is my home away from home in London. If you are looking for 4* amenities/facilities with 2* prices, look no more. Located in leafy and quiet Sussex Gardens, 5 minutes from Paddington, surrounded by all kinds of shops and places to eat and drink, you won't find a better place to stay in London for such good prices. All rooms come with a fridge, flat telly with all channels, kettle with tea/coffee supplies, air condition for the summer and central heating for the winter. Cleanliness is also worth mentioning. During all my stays rooms and bathrooms were spotless. There's a 24 hour reception, staff will greet you with a smile and an answer to all questions/requirements. There's no lift, but there are rooms on ground floor and first floor, so if you can't manage stairs just ask for a lower floor room. All rooms are ensuite, but they are London sized so if you are there for a long stay I advise to book a larger room. I've stayed in both a twin and a double while I was on my own for a week's stay and it was perfect. Please keep in mind that the hotel's website is always cheaper than any other booking website, and you'll get a discount if you book for longer than 7 days.
Small rooms, very friendly staff. Great location. Very close to paddington station. Close to breakfast alternatives. The cleaning could have been better. Has a small fridge that is quite useful and a good aircondition.
